MEAN AS CHRISTMAS KICK OFF!!! 12-11-16

It's CHRISTMAS here!!! Merry Christmas Whanau!!!

It's been amazing giving tours all night every night. We have had so many miracles, but the one that stood out to me was we are on a rotation schedule with 6 other sets of sisters, and so we take tours by time, and they had a VIP time which just happened to be our tour. What VIP is, is the Area Presidency who is a general authority and important people of inter faith council, and President cummings. Well I was quite nervous, but it turned out amazing. I cannot explain the feeling I felt as I was able to bear testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ to a man who is a witness of him. The spirit was so strong, I have no idea what I said, or what my companion said, but it was felt, the spirit was so strong. Elder Cardon, he was the 70 and Elder Semon who is in the presidency pulled us aside after and shook our hands and spoke to each of us for a minute, they thanked us for the special spirit, and their wives came to us and gave us each a hug they both were so lovely and shared of the special spirit they felt. Elder Zundel pulled me aside after and said he just finished talking to Elder Cardon and President Cummings, and "I have great things in store for me." hahah no idea what that meant, I tried making Elder Zundel tell me, but that is all he would say!

Last Night Valarie Adams came in for a tour, she is an Olympic Athlete, she is a shot-putter. She is also a Mormon. Our Assistants are in the back asking for referrals, and it was hilarious when she was the one to walk in and they had to ask her for a referral, it was hilarious to see them so scared!!! She is literally sooo tall, and big, she would squash you dad!!!

I got the Christmas Package!!!!!! Thank you so much family!! I was only going to open one present, but I opened 5.. hahah and thank you to Kru, who thinks that I am the best missionary in the whole united states.. :) This week we found 2 new investigators, and with BOTH of them they were in their lowest points. They both said "I prayed last night to God that if he cared he would send and answer, and here you are" It was seriously so amazing to realize small things we do are following the promptings of the spirit, and that the Lord truly is using us to be a benefit to his children who are in need. I feel so grateful this week, and I also feel grateful because this week, my companion left me and said to not follow her, she was completely screaming at me in public and causing a scene, and I ended up calling President. He talked to us in person, and he promised me I get a new comp in 3 weeks!! I am excited, but also feel bad for Sister Hekau, I wish I could help her more, but I do understand you can't be helped if you don't know you need it. I have learned a lot from her, and I do think she is beautiful person.

This week should be FULL on, and I am so excited. This past week was such a roller-coaster but I can finally see the growth in myself, I am so grateful I have come on my mission, it really is the best time to be a missionary!! I have been reading Jesus The Christ studying the birth of the Savior and something that stood out to me was the obedience of Joseph when he was told to flee, or Christ would die. I love that because of His obedience, we were able to have a Savior. I know as we each find something new we can be more obedient at that we seriously will see miracles. I know that the miracles of Jesus couldn't be all written because there wouldn't be books enough to contain them, and I feel that way about my mission. I have seen the hand of God in so many lives, and especially mine. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. 2 weeks, and we get to skype!! I am so excited to see you all!!

Arohanui,
Sister DeLoach
